Upgrade your workspace

Take new features that are waiting for your workspace.

New releases do not change an existing workspace by themselves. When a feature needs your workspace to be upgraded, a card appears on the settings page and the owner decides when.

Before you start: Only the owner can upgrade. Others see "Ask the workspace owner to upgrade." The card appears only when something is pending.

Steps

1. Open Organization settings.
2. In Workspace upgrade available, read "Your workspace is on v. Upgrading adds:" and the list of features.
3. Click Upgrade workspace and confirm.
4. A message says "Workspace upgraded".

What happens next

• Your existing data and apps are not changed, and the workspace stays usable while it runs.
• The new features appear in the launcher. Until you upgrade, the new feature is not available in your workspace.
• About shows the new Workspace version.

Troubleshooting

Upgrade did not finish — nothing was changed. Try again. Click Upgrade workspace again.
