Calendars from records
Show a record type on a calendar using a date field, and reschedule records by dragging.
Show a record type on a calendar by one of its date fields, for example deliveries or due dates, and reschedule records by dragging.
Before you start: you need Full control on Calendars. The record type needs at least one date or date-time field. Items appear for people who can read those records.
Steps
- Click Add calendar and choose From records.
- Enter a Name, pick a Colour, a Time zone and a Key.
- Pick the Record type.
- Pick the Date field. If there are none you see "This type has no date fields".
- Optionally pick Ends on (optional) (default "Same day / one hour") and Title from (default "Calendar name").
- Click Create calendar.
What you see
- Each record that has a value in the date field is one item.
- Records are read with each viewer's own permissions. Nothing is copied.
- Click an item to open the record.
- Drag an item to another time or day to change the record's date. Records calendars drag the same way as events.
- The calendar's settings show: "Shows records by . Moving one on the calendar edits the record."
Limits and rules
- You cannot create events on a records calendar. Create or edit the record instead.
- Events cannot be moved onto a records calendar.
- A records calendar has no subscription link, no export, no import and no booking page.
- Records without a date value do not appear.

- The settings of a records calendar offer General only, plus delete.
