Accounts and sync
Check connection health, sync on demand, switch ad accounts on or off, and disconnect a platform.
AxisIQ keeps a copy of your campaigns and daily results. This page explains how that copy stays fresh and how to control it.
Before you start: Sync now needs Can run campaigns under Ad campaigns. Test, the ad account switches and Disconnect need Full control.
How sync works
- The first sync starts as soon as you connect a platform.
- AxisIQ then syncs every connection automatically about once an hour.
- You can also click Sync now at any time. A toast says "Sync started".
- A sync runs in the background. The Last synced column shows "Syncing…" while it runs.
- Recent days are refreshed each time, because platforms restate numbers as conversions arrive.
If a sync fails, the previous figures stay in place and the page says so: "The last sync failed: — the figures below are from the previous successful sync." The Connections list also shows "Last sync failed".
Connections list
Open Web Campaigns › Connections. Columns: Connection, Platform, Health, Last synced. Right-click a row or use ⋯ for:
- Open and Open in new tab
- Sync now
- Test connection
- Disconnect
A platform's page
Click a connection. The top shows its health, Sync now, Test (a toast says "Connection is healthy" or "Connection failed its check") and a settings menu with Disconnect. Banners show a failing connection's error, a failed sync, and any note about unsynced performance data.
Ad accounts
The Ad accounts tab lists the accounts found under your sign-in with Account, Platform id, Currency and a Sync switch.
- Open the platform page and click Ad accounts.
- Switch Sync off for accounts nobody looks at. They are skipped from the next sync, saving platform rate limit.
- Switch it back on when you need them.
If the list is empty it says "No ad accounts found under this authorization yet. Run a sync, or check that the connected user has access to an ad account on the platform."
Disconnect a platform
- Choose Disconnect from the menu. The confirmation says "Disconnect ""? Every campaign and performance figure synced from it is deleted. Nothing changes on the platform itself."
- Click Disconnect.
Important: Disconnecting deletes the synced campaigns and results from AxisIQ. Reconnect and sync to get them back. The platform's own campaigns are unaffected.
Tips
- If health shows an error, run Test first. A rejected or expired sign-in needs a fresh connection.
- Keep unused ad accounts switched off to keep syncs quick.
Troubleshooting
