Page context

Ask about the record or app on your screen and Ask Axis knows what "this" means.

Ask Axis can see which record or app you are looking at, so you can say "this invoice" without naming it.

How it works

  • The record window, the records list and each app page tell Ask Axis where you are. The hint is sent with each message you send.
  • It is only a hint to help it understand "this". It never gives Ask Axis extra access. Every action still runs with your own permissions.
  • Hints are short. Long names are cut to 120 characters.

Ask about a record

  1. Open a record from any list so its window opens.
  2. Click the Ask Axis about this record icon, next to the Details, Documents, Messages, Events and Activity tabs.
  3. The record window closes and the Ask Axis panel opens with the message box prefilled, for example "About this invoice: ". The record stays pinned as context while the panel is open.
  4. Finish your sentence and send it.

Tips

  • The shortcut Ctrl + J opens Ask Axis with whatever page you are on as context. Moving to another page changes the context.
  • If a record window sits on top of a list, the record is the context. Closing it brings the list back.
