Work schedules and holidays
Set working weeks, alternate Saturdays, office hours and late grace, and keep holiday lists — including optional holidays — per year.
Schedules decide which days are working days — so how many days a leave takes — and what counts as late or a half day in attendance.

Work schedules
Go to Rules & settings › Schedules & holidays. Each schedule has:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Weekly days off | Days off every week, for example Sunday. |
| Some weeks of the month off | For example the 2nd and 4th Saturday. |
| Office starts / Office ends | The working day. |
| Late after (grace, minutes) | A check-in after start plus grace is late. |
| Full day (minutes worked) / Half day (minutes worked) | Time worked for a present day or a half day. |
| Holiday list | Which holiday list this schedule follows. |
Mark one schedule as Default; employees without a Work schedule on their record follow it. Add more for a factory shift, a branch with a different week, or part-timers, and set it on each employee's record.
Holidays
Under Holidays, pick the year with the arrows and click Add holidays. Add one per line, choose the holiday list and whether each is Optional.
- A holiday is a day off for everyone on that list; it is never counted in leave.
- An optional holiday is a working day that people may take using the Optional holiday leave type.
Keep separate lists for offices in different states and point each schedule at its list.
Settings that go with them
Under Rules & settings › General:
- Time zone — the day attendance and leave are counted in.
- Leave year starts — the month balances are earned from and lapse at.
- Default work schedule.
