AxisIQ for beauty and personal care brands

AxisIQ runs beauty brands' orders, stock with batch and expiry, sampling offers, repeat customers and marketplace and quick-commerce payouts in one workspace.

AxisIQ is a live operations workspace for beauty and personal care brands: products and their variants, orders from your website, marketplaces and quick-commerce apps, stock per warehouse, promotions and sampling, repeat customers and the payouts every channel sends back — in one place, under each team member's permissions. It starts from the D2C & E-commerce template, which sets up apps, roles, automation flows and a home dashboard at signup; Ask Axis then adds what a skincare or cosmetics brand needs on top, such as batch numbers and expiry dates.

What makes beauty operations different

A serum is not a t-shirt. Every unit belongs to a manufacturing batch with a shelf life, and the questions that matter are batch questions: which batch is in which warehouse, which expires first, which batch a complaint came from. Marketplaces and quick-commerce buyers refuse stock with too little shelf life left, so near-expiry units have to move first, and the only way to know is to have the date on the stock record — not on a carton label in the warehouse.

Growth runs on trial. Minis, free samples in the box, gift-with-purchase and launch codes are how a new customer meets the range, and each one costs product. Without a record of which offer an order used, nobody can tell which sample actually converted.

The money is in the second order. A beauty brand lives on replenishment — the moisturiser that runs out in six weeks — so the customer list has to say who has bought twice, who has gone quiet and who is worth a personal message.

And the channels keep multiplying: your own site, Nykaa, Amazon, Flipkart, Instagram, and now Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart, each with its own payout schedule and commission.

How the template covers it

  • Product and Variant hold the range — category includes beauty, with MRP, selling and cost price, a computed Unit margin, HSN code and GST rate on the product, and SKU, barcode, price and size on each variant (use Free size or ask Ask Axis to add pack sizes like 30 ml and 50 ml).
  • Stock level counts each variant at each warehouse, with on hand, reserved, computed Available and a reorder level. Purchase orders to your contract manufacturer list variants on PO lines with received quantities.
  • Customer carries a segment — new, repeat, VIP, at risk — plus total orders, lifetime value, first order date and acquisition channel.
  • Promotion records the code, discount type (percent, flat, free shipping, BOGO), channel, redemptions and revenue attributed; Order links to the promotion it used, so sampling and launch offers can be judged by orders, not impressions.
  • Creator collaboration ties a creator's fee and deliverable to the promo code they share.
  • Settlement records each payout by source with gross, fees and commission and a computed Net amount.
  • Support ticket covers product queries and complaints across email, WhatsApp, Instagram and phone; the template's published Contact support form opens one, numbered automatically (TKT-2026-00042).

The five template flows apply unchanged: high-value orders flagged, COD orders confirmed by a support ticket before packing, delivered and RTO shipments updating their orders, received returns marking the order returned. Confirmed orders enter the Dispatch work queue (To pick → Picked → Packed → Handed to courier) on their own.

What to ask Ask Axis to add

These are the changes beauty brands most often make in the first week. Ask in plain words:

  • "Add a batch number, manufacturing date and expiry date to stock levels."
  • "Add a batch number field to order lines so I can trace a complaint to its batch."
  • "Add a dashboard table of stock expiring in the next 90 days by warehouse."
  • "Add Nykaa, Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart as order channels and settlement sources."
  • "Add a pack size option list to variants: 15 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml."
  • "Add a sample-included checkbox to orders."
  • "Every week, mark customers with no order in 90 days as at risk."

Ask Axis edits the live workspace under your permissions and confirms destructive changes first. With your own email, SMS or WhatsApp provider connected in Messaging, a flow can send a replenishment reminder to repeat customers — WhatsApp messages go out on Meta-approved templates. See Ask Axis and Automation.

Repeat rate, revenue by promotion and net margin after channel commission are ordinary SQL over these records in Analytics.

One honest limit

AxisIQ records batches and expiry dates once you add them; it does not run a FEFO allocation engine or block an order line from a near-expiry batch on its own — that is a flow or a report you set up. Subscriptions are recorded, not billed: there is no recurring-charge engine, so replenishment runs as reminders and payment links through your own Razorpay account.

FAQ

Can AxisIQ track batch numbers and expiry dates for cosmetics? Yes, once added — ask Ask Axis to put batch, manufacturing date and expiry date on stock levels, then a dashboard widget lists what expires soonest by warehouse.

How do I see which customers buy again? Each customer carries total orders, lifetime value and a segment of new, repeat, VIP or at risk, and a scheduled flow can keep that segment current.

Can I manage Nykaa and quick-commerce orders in AxisIQ? As records, yes: add those channels to the order and settlement options and bring orders in by CSV import or a flow. There is no built-in connector to those seller panels.

How do I measure whether samples and launch offers work? Orders link to the promotion they used, and each promotion carries redemptions and revenue attributed, so offers compare by the orders they produced.

Does AxisIQ handle subscription billing? No. It can remind repeat customers and send payment links, but there is no automatic recurring charge.
