Field types

All 14 field types in AxisIQ, what each accepts, how it looks on forms and in lists.

Every field has one type. The type decides what the form shows, what values are accepted and how the value looks in lists. You choose the type when you add a field. It cannot be changed afterwards.

How values appear in lists

Type In a list
select A badge. Words such as paid, done, active, approved are green; pending, draft, open, new, waiting, due are amber; cancelled, failed, rejected, overdue, lost, blocked, expired are red.
bool Yes badge, or a grey No
number, currency Right-aligned. Currency shows the amount and code, for example 1200 INR.
email A mail link
url A link that opens in a new tab
ref The name of the linked record
refs A count, for example 3 linked
multiselect The chosen options, comma-separated
datetime Date and time in your local format
Empty value A dash

Option names saved as lowercase words with underscores (for example in_transit) read as plain words (In transit) in drop-downs, on the form and in multi-choice lists. Options typed with their own capitals or spaces show exactly as written. A single-choice badge in a list shows the option as it was saved.

Currency fields

A currency value is an amount plus its own 3-letter code, so one workspace can hold INR, USD and EUR amounts side by side.

  • If the field is locked to one currency, the code is fixed and cannot be changed on the form.
  • If it is not locked, the code picker starts on your workspace's default currency. You can pick another one per value.
  • If a value arrives with no code (for example from a CSV), the workspace default currency is used.

Filtering and sorting by type

You can filter on text, choices, numbers, currency, dates and yes/no fields. You cannot filter on ref, refs, multiselect or file fields. See Find records.
