AxisIQ for resort and homestay groups

AxisIQ runs resort and homestay groups: properties, seasonal rate plans, meal plans, guest feedback and OTA payout reconciliation in one live workspace.

AxisIQ is a live workspace for resort and homestay groups running several properties: each property with its own rooms, room types and GSTIN, seasonal rate plans by meal plan, packages, reservations from direct guests and OTAs, guest feedback from every review site, and OTA payouts reconciled against commission and TDS — one system across every location. It starts from the Hotels & Resorts template, set up in seconds at signup, and Ask Axis shapes it around your properties.

What makes a resort or homestay group different

A group of three hill homestays and a lake resort has no single front desk. Each property has a caretaker or manager, a handful of rooms or cottages and its own season. The owner sits in the city and wants to know, every morning, what each property sold, what it is owed and what went wrong.

Rates move with the calendar. Peak season, long weekends, Diwali and New Year, and the monsoon lull each carry a different rate, and the same cottage sells at one price room-only and another with all meals. Packages — a two-night honeymoon stay with a candlelight dinner, a weekend with a trek and a bonfire — have to be sold, delivered and billed consistently from property to property.

Most bookings come through OTAs, and that money arrives late and net: a MakeMyTrip or Booking.com payout covers a period, deducts commission and TDS or TCS, and lands in the bank as one figure. Without a record of what each OTA owed, nobody notices when a payout comes up short. And reviews matter more to a resort than to a city hotel — a bad Google or TripAdvisor review left unanswered costs the next ten bookings.

How the template covers it

  • Property is one row per resort, homestay or service apartment, with category, total keys, GSTIN, check-in and check-out times and status. Rooms, Room types, Reservations, Expenses and Maintenance tickets all point at a property, so every report splits by location; each property's checkout cleans land on the shared Housekeeping board queue.
  • Rate plan sets a nightly rate per room type by Meal plan (EP, CP, MAP, AP), Season (peak, regular, off-season, festive, weekend), channel and validity dates. A reservation names its rate plan, so you can see which seasons and meal plans actually sell.
  • Guest feedback records reviews from in-house forms, Google, TripAdvisor, MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, Agoda and WhatsApp, with overall, cleanliness and service ratings, sentiment and a status from new to responded, escalated or closed. The template's published How was your stay? form — on a QR card at check-out — files straight into it, numbered GFB-2026-00001.
  • OTA payout holds gross bookings, commission and TDS/TCS per OTA per period, with a computed Net payout and a status of expected, received or disputed — so accounts compares what arrived with what should have.
  • Guest keeps tier (regular, repeat, VIP), total stays and preferences, so a repeat guest at another property in the group is recognised.

Packages aren't a separate type in the template; ask for one (below), or sell them as rate plans with the inclusions in the name.

What to ask Ask Axis to add

  • "Add a Package type with property, nights, inclusions, price and validity, and a Package field on reservations."
  • "Add a dashboard chart of room revenue by property for the last 90 days."
  • "Compare each OTA's payouts with the room revenue of its checked-out reservations for the same period."
  • "When guest feedback has an overall rating below 3, set it to escalated."
  • "Add an activity booking type for treks, safaris and spa slots, linked to reservations."
  • "Add a caretaker role that can only see its own property's rooms and housekeeping tasks."

Ask Axis makes each change in your live workspace under your permissions and confirms before anything destructive. Reports are ordinary SQL in Analytics; see also reports and dashboards in SQL.

One honest limit

AxisIQ is not a channel manager. Rate plans record the rates you load on your channel manager or OTA extranets — they are not pushed out, and OTA bookings come in by entry or CSV import, not by sync. There is also no offline mode, which matters for properties with patchy connectivity.

FAQ

Can one AxisIQ workspace run several resorts and homestays? Yes. Each property is a record with its own rooms, room types and GSTIN, and reservations, expenses and tickets all point at a property, so every report splits by location.

How do I manage seasonal rates and meal plans? Rate plans hold a nightly rate per room type by meal plan (EP, CP, MAP, AP), season, channel and validity dates, and each reservation names its rate plan.

How do I reconcile OTA payouts? Each payout is a record with gross bookings, commission and TDS/TCS and a computed net, marked expected, received or disputed, so a short payment shows up beside the bookings it covers.

Can AxisIQ collect guest reviews? Guest feedback records reviews from in-house forms, Google, TripAdvisor and OTAs with ratings and sentiment; the template's How was your stay? form files in-house responses automatically. It does not pull reviews from review sites.
