Contracts — write, sign and renew in one place
AxisIQ Contracts keeps every agreement in one register: write from Indian-law templates or let Ask Axis draft, review clauses, get it e-signed with a sealed copy and audit trail, and get reminded before notice and renewal dates.
Part of AxisIQ's single business model — The operations layer (Run the business). How the layers fit.
Contracts is where your agreements are written, reviewed, signed and tracked — inside the same workspace as the customers, suppliers and invoices they are about. Start from a template or let Ask Axis draft one, check its clauses, send it for e-signature, and keep every agreement, including ones signed on paper years ago, in one register that tells you before a notice date slips by.
Most companies keep contracts in a shared folder and their dates in someone's head. The renewal you meant to renegotiate rolls over by itself; the notice period was 60 days, not 30; the signed copy is in an email thread. Contracts turns each agreement into a record with its term worked out, its owner reminded and its signed copy one click away.

Write it here
Pick a template — mutual NDA, service agreement, consultancy, supply, employment offer, software licence — or your own, fill in what you know, and the rest stays as clearly marked blanks until you replace them. Your company's name, address and GSTIN come from your business profile. Or describe the deal in a few sentences and Ask Axis writes the contract in the editor while you work: payment and GST terms, a liability cap, termination, governing law and arbitration, signature blocks, with a blank for anything it wasn't told. Ask it to change a clause later and it edits only that passage.

Review before you sign
The clause review reads any contract — yours or the other side's PDF — and flags what a careful in-house counsel would: non-competes void under Indian law, penalty clauses, unlimited liability, one-sided termination, auto-renewal with a hidden notice window, missing governing law, personal data without DPDP obligations. Each finding quotes the clause, says why it matters and what to ask for. On your own drafts, one click hands the fix to Ask Axis.

E-signature with a sealed copy
Set the signing order — people on the same step sign in parallel — and send. Each signer gets a personal link, confirms with a one-time code sent to their email, and types their name; no account needed. When the last one signs, you get the signed PDF with a certificate of completion — who signed, when, from where, how each was identified — and a digital seal that shows if the file is ever changed. Every step lands in an audit trail that is checked for tampering each time it is opened.

A register that reads itself
Upload a contract signed elsewhere and its counterparty, dates, renewal, notice period, value and governing law are read from the document — you don't type them. Add tags and your own fields (PO number, department, renewal owner) and those are read too. Auto-renewing contracts roll forward on their own; the owner is reminded before the notice date and before the end date, in the inbox and by email.

Legally, in plain words
A contract signed in AxisIQ is an electronic contract under Section 10A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 — valid for most commercial agreements — with the evidence to support it. It is not an Aadhaar eSign or a Digital Signature Certificate, which some documents and counterparties require. Documents Indian law does not allow to be signed electronically — leases and sales of property, powers of attorney, trusts, wills and promissory notes — are refused for e-signature; sign those on paper and track the executed copy here. Read the details.
The honest limits
Signers are identified by email and a one-time code — there is no Aadhaar eSign or DSC signing yet. AxisIQ does not buy or attach e-stamp paper; stamp duty is yours to arrange. The templates and the clause review help you prepare; they are not legal advice. Scanned PDFs without a text layer can be stored and signed but not reviewed or read automatically. There is no redlining against the other side's edits — changes are made in your draft.
FAQ
Is a contract signed in AxisIQ legally valid in India? For most commercial agreements, yes — as an electronic contract under Section 10A of the IT Act, with a certificate of completion and audit trail as evidence. Where a law or counterparty requires Aadhaar eSign or a DSC, use those.
Do signers need an AxisIQ account? No. They open a personal link, confirm a code sent to their email and sign.
Can we track contracts we signed elsewhere? Yes. Upload the PDF and its dates and terms are read for you; renewal and notice reminders work the same way.
Who can see and send contracts? Whoever your roles allow — viewing, editing and sending are separate permissions on the same Roles page as everything else.
