Confirmations and questions

How Ask Axis asks before it does anything risky, and how it checks with you when your request is unclear.

Ask Axis stops and asks in two situations. It asks a clarifying question when it needs a detail from you. It asks for a confirmation before an action that spends money, contacts someone or deletes something.

Clarifying questions

When your request could mean several things, Ask Axis ends its turn with one short question and a few answer buttons.

  • Click a button to answer, or type your own answer in the message box. The box says Pick an option or type your own answer… while a question is waiting.
  • Only the newest question is active. Buttons on older questions are greyed out.
  • Ask Axis asks one question at a time and does not ask things it could look up itself.

Confirmations

These actions are always confirmed before they run:

Action Why
Create a payment link Money
Send a message A real person receives it
Invite a teammate An email goes out
Delete a record, or many records Cannot be undone
Delete a record type, a field, a menu group, a flow, a role, a function or a saved query Cannot be undone
Delete a calendar event, or create or change an event that has guests Guests are notified or the event is lost

Ask Axis ends its turn with a plain sentence describing the action and two buttons: Yes, do it and No.

Important: an approval is for one action with exactly the details you were shown. If Ask Axis wants to change a detail, use a different action, or do a second guarded action, it asks again. Typing "yes" in your own words does not count in the app; use the Yes, do it button.

What is not confirmed

Tools from outside connectors are not confirmed one by one, because the assistant cannot tell whether an outside tool only reads or also changes things. Only connect servers you trust. See Connectors.

Tips

  • Say No if anything in the confirmation looks different from what you meant, then tell Ask Axis what to change.
  • Reading, searching and creating ordinary records do not need confirmation.
