AxisIQ for apparel and footwear store chains
AxisIQ runs apparel and footwear chains: stock per store, transfers to rebalance sizes, end-of-season offers, loyalty tiers and day-end sales against target.
AxisIQ gives apparel and footwear chains one live workspace for the part of retail that happens between the stores: the catalogue with HSN codes and GST rates, stock per store and the warehouse, transfers that move sizes to where they sell, end-of-season promotions by store and category, loyalty tiers and points, and every store's day-end against its target. It starts from the Retail Stores template, set up at signup with apps, roles, flows and a home dashboard, and Ask Axis adds what fashion needs on top — size and colour variants first.

Where an apparel chain's operations break
Fashion stock is uneven by nature. One store sells out of mediums by the second weekend while another holds a full size run of the same style that will be marked down in eight weeks. The fix is moving stock between stores, but when transfers are WhatsApp requests and the receiving store never confirms the count, units disappear in transit and nobody can say which store has what.
The season decides the margin. End-of-season sales, flat-off weekends and combo offers run in some stores and not others, sometimes co-funded with the brand. Without a record of which offer ran where and what it sold, the next season's markdown is planned from memory.
GST adds its own wrinkle: apparel and footwear rates depend on the item's price band, so the GST rate on the product master has to be right before the first bill is printed.
And loyalty is where repeat customers either feel known or don't. Points earned at one store and redeemed at another need one ledger, and tier upgrades need someone to notice that a customer crossed the line.
How the template covers it
- Product holds each style with SKU, brand, barcode, HSN code, GST rate (0 to 40%), MRP, selling price, landed cost and a computed Unit margin; the category list includes apparel.
- Stock line is one product at one store or the warehouse — on hand, in transit, reorder level and stock status. When a store's count reaches zero, a flow marks it out of stock.
- Stock transfer with Transfer lines moves stock for replenishment or
rebalancing, store to store or from the warehouse, through requested, approved, in transit and received. Each transfer gets aTN-number and a printable Stock transfer note challan; one that arrives short closes asshort_received, and each line shows quantity sent against received. - Promotion covers
percent_off,flat_offandcombooffers, by brand or category, in a chosen list of Stores, with start and end dates, who funds it and Sales attributed. - Customer carries a loyalty tier (silver, gold, platinum), points balance, lifetime spend, home store and WhatsApp opt-in; every earn, redemption, bonus or expiry is a Points entry against a bill number and store.
- Store target and Day-end sales put each store's net sales, bills and footfall against its goal on the Store vs target dashboard table.
What to ask Ask Axis to add
The template tracks stock by product. Most apparel chains want sizes tracked separately, so ask for that first:
- "Add a variant type under products with size, colour, SKU and barcode, and track stock lines and transfer lines by variant."
- "Add a season and collection field to products."
- "When a customer's lifetime spend crosses ₹50,000, move them to gold."
- "Add an alteration job type with customer, garment, alteration, promised date and status."
- "Add a widget for sell-through by store for the current season."
Ask Axis changes the live workspace under your permissions and confirms before anything destructive. See Ask Axis. For the warehouse, Work Queues runs transfer dispatch as a scan station, so a carton's contents are checked before the van leaves.
One honest limit
A counter sale in In-Store Checkout does not reduce the store's stock line on its own; stock is updated by counts, receipts and transfers, so plan a daily adjustment or regular counts. See retail POS for what the counter does today.
FAQ
Can AxisIQ handle sizes and colours for clothing and footwear? The template tracks stock by product; ask Ask Axis to add a variant type with size and colour, and stock lines and transfers then count each size separately.
How do I balance stock between stores? Raise a stock transfer with reason rebalancing from the store holding too much to the store selling out; transfer lines record what was sent and what was received.
Can AxisIQ run end-of-season sale offers by store? A promotion records the offer type, value, brand or category, the stores it runs in, dates and who funds it, and carries the sales attributed to it.
Does AxisIQ have a loyalty programme? Yes, as records: customers carry a tier and points balance, and every point earned or redeemed is an entry against a bill and store. Tier rules are something you ask Ask Axis to add as a flow.
