Operations — orders, stock, customers

Orders, stock, customers and shipments as structured records with validation, search and audit — order and inventory management without a data team.

Blocks flowing in order along parallel lanes

Part of AxisIQ's single business model — The business data model (Know the business). How the layers fit.

This is the part of AxisIQ your team lives in all day: taking orders, checking stock, packing and shipping, chasing suppliers, keeping customer details straight.

It is deliberately not a fixed set of screens. Underneath, everything is the same primitive — a record of a type — which is why one afternoon of setup can produce a system that fits your business exactly instead of approximately.

Built by AI around your business

A new workspace starts with a conversation, not a template. Tell the built-in assistant what you run — an online store, a school, a clinic, a distributor — and it interviews you briefly, proposes a data model in plain words, and then builds it: the menu modules, the record types, the fields and the relationships between them. A store gets products, orders and customers; a school gets students, guardians, courses and enrollments. Money always lands on the built-in invoices and payments types, so billing and reporting work the same in every vertical.

You are never locked into what it builds. Add fields, rename what things are called, or create entirely new types — repairs, rentals, site visits, batches, warranty claims — yourself in a few clicks, or by asking the assistant later ("add a warranty expiry date to products"). Everything behaves the same: same list screens, same forms, same search, same CSV, same reports, same assistant.

Fields that match how you actually work

Add a field in a few clicks and choose what it holds: text, number, decimal, date, timestamp, yes/no, a choice list, several choices, money, or a link to another record (one or many).

A few things that save real time:

  • Money is a first-class type. Every amount carries its currency, so a supplier bill in USD and a customer invoice in INR can live in the same table without anyone doing mental arithmetic. The org has a default currency; individual values can override it.
  • Auto-generated numbers. Give a field a pattern like INV-{seq:4:yearly} and every new record gets the next number — reset yearly, monthly or never. Supply your own value and yours wins, so migrating historical data does not fight you.
  • Linked records, not text. An order line points at a product; a shipment points at an order. Change the product's name once and every screen that mentions it is correct.

Finding things

Every type gets the same list screen: fast paging through large tables, sorting, filtering by field, and full search across the record. The search understands your custom fields, because there is no difference between yours and ours.

Bulk work is handled where it belongs — export up to 10,000 rows to CSV for anything you want to do in a spreadsheet — or skip the export and work in Axis Sheets, which reads live records directly — and import up to 500 rows at a time to bring data back in. Imports validate before they write, so a bad column tells you what is wrong instead of half-writing your data.

Everything else reads from here

This is the payoff for keeping one copy of the truth:

  • Your reports and dashboards query these records directly — no data warehouse, no nightly export.
  • Work Queues move records and barcode-scanned items through the stages of your process.
  • Flows fire when a record changes, so shipping an order can email or WhatsApp the customer, through your own provider account, without anyone remembering to.
  • PDF templates generate invoices and delivery notes from the record in front of you.
  • Ask Axis can read and update all of it, under exactly the permissions the person asking already has.
  • Every change is written to the audit trail — who, what, before, after, when.

Where it fits

If you are running operations out of spreadsheets today, start with moving off spreadsheets. If you are comparing against a suite, see AxisIQ vs business app suites or AxisIQ vs traditional ERP.
