ERP software for growing companies in India
AxisIQ is cloud ERP for growing Indian companies: UPI collection, WhatsApp, multi-location stock and an AI assistant, hosted in India in INR.
AxisIQ is cloud ERP software for growing companies in India, typically 15 to 200 people. It runs orders, stock across locations, customers, invoices, UPI payment links, a double-entry ledger, barcode work queues and WhatsApp messaging on one live model of the business. Axis, the assistant built in, answers questions, flags problems and does the work under each person's permissions. It is hosted in India and priced in rupees: Core is ₹9,900 a month with 15 users included. It does not file GST returns, generate e-invoices or e-way bills, run payroll or plan manufacturing. Most companies keep statutory accounting in Tally or with their CA and run the rest of the business on AxisIQ.
This page explains what that means for an Indian company that has outgrown spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups. It covers what such a company needs from ERP software, how AxisIQ covers each need, and where you will still need another tool.
What a growing Indian company actually needs from ERP
Most companies searching for "ERP software India" are not replacing an old ERP. They are replacing a working arrangement: Tally for the books, Excel for stock and orders, a few WhatsApp groups for coordination, and one or two apps that do not talk to each other. That arrangement breaks at roughly the same points everywhere:
- Collection. Customers want to pay by UPI. Someone sends a QR, someone else checks the bank app, and the invoice sheet is updated by hand, or not at all.
- WhatsApp. Orders, confirmations, dispatch updates and payment reminders all happen on WhatsApp, and none of it lands in a system.
- Stock in more than one place. A godown, a store, a branch warehouse. Each keeps its own sheet, and the totals never agree.
- Remote teams. Sales on the road, a partner in another city, an accountant who works from their own office. Desktop software with one licence on one machine stops working.
- The CA hand-off. At month end, someone has to give the accountant clean sales, purchase and payment data. Usually that means re-keying.
Good ERP software for an Indian mid-size company has to fix those five things first. Everything else is secondary.
How AxisIQ covers it
One live model of the business. Everything in AxisIQ is a record of a type: orders, stock items, customers, suppliers, jobs, whatever your business uses. Built-in invoices, payments, accounts (a chart of accounts) and locations sit alongside them. Your types are not bolted on. They search, filter, report, validate and appear in permissions exactly like the built-in ones. The AI workspace builder interviews you about how the business works and builds the first version for you: typically 7 to 10 apps, 25 to 45 record types with their fields, roles, automations and a home dashboard. See operations for the tour.
UPI and online collection. Connect your own Razorpay account and issue payment links from an invoice or on their own. The customer pays by UPI, card, netbanking or wallet. Razorpay's webhook writes the payment record into AxisIQ, so nobody re-checks the bank app. A person still marks the invoice closed, deliberately. Details are on payments and invoicing.
WhatsApp from your own account. Outbound messages go through your own provider account: the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API with approved templates, Twilio, or MSG91 for DLT-registered SMS, alongside email providers. Delivery is tracked and opt-outs are respected on every send. Messages can be sent from a record, by a flow (a dispatch update when an order ships), or by Axis on request, after it asks you to confirm.
Stock across locations. Locations are a built-in type, so a stock record knows where it is. Work Queues give the warehouse barcode scan stations, claim-based picking (two people never grab the same item) and manifest reconciliation that tells you what is missing and what turned up unexpectedly. Stores can run in-store checkout with cash, card and UPI tenders. More on inventory management.
Remote by default. AxisIQ is a responsive web app. Anyone with a browser and the right role works from anywhere, and the warehouse, store and field staff use Operational seats priced for focused work. There is no native mobile app and no offline mode, so poor connectivity on the floor is a real limitation to plan for.
A clean hand-off to your CA. Invoices, payments and a double-entry ledger with immutable entries and a trial balance live in AxisIQ. Invoices, payments and every other record type export to CSV, so the month-end hand-off is an export, not re-keying. AxisIQ does not post invoices to the ledger automatically; that is a deliberate step.
Answers instead of reports. Analytics runs SQL over the live records, or you ask in plain English and review the query before it runs. Ask Axis goes further: it creates and updates records, drafts flows, sends messages and creates payment links. Anything involving money, outbound messages, invites or deletion stops and asks "go ahead?" first, and every change lands in the audit trail.
Permissions an owner can trust. Roles grant each app at a level (view, edit, full control). Fields can be masked, so a sales role never sees cost price. MFA, passkeys and phone verification protect sign-in. Permissions has the detail.
Where AxisIQ stops: GST, Tally, payroll and MRP
Being clear about this now saves you a bad month later.
| Need | In AxisIQ? | The practical pattern |
|---|---|---|
| GST e-invoicing (IRN), e-way bills | No | Generate them in your accounting or GST tool |
| GST return filing, TDS | No | Your CA files from Tally or their own software |
| Tally sync | No | Export invoices and payments as CSV for your CA |
| Payroll, HR, attendance | No | Keep a dedicated payroll provider |
| Manufacturing MRP, BOM explosion, production planning | No | Track jobs and stages in AxisIQ; plan elsewhere if you need MRP |
| Multi-currency with automatic FX | No | Amounts carry their currency; no automatic conversion |
| Automatic bank feeds and reconciliation | No | Reconcile in your accounting tool |
The pattern that works for most Indian companies: keep statutory accounting where your CA wants it, and run operations, collection, stock and reporting on AxisIQ. Your CA keeps the compliance tool they trust, and the business stops running on WhatsApp threads and spreadsheets. AxisIQ vs spreadsheets covers the move away from sheets.
When AxisIQ is not the right choice
- Compliance is the core need. If what you need is GST billing, e-invoices and return filing, buy a GST-first accounting product. AxisIQ will not do that job.
- Production planning drives the business. If you need MRP, BOM explosion and capacity planning, look at a manufacturing ERP. AxisIQ tracks manufacturing jobs well but does not plan them.
- Payroll in the same system. Suites with an HR and payroll module will suit you better.
- Your floor has no reliable connectivity. AxisIQ needs a connection; there is no offline mode.
- You need a certification on paper. AxisIQ does not hold SOC 2 or ISO certification today.
If you are comparing suites, AxisIQ vs Zoho One, AxisIQ vs Odoo and AxisIQ vs traditional ERP set out the trade-offs fairly.
By industry
- Wholesale and distribution: orders, dispatch, multi-godown stock, collections.
- D2C and e-commerce brands: Shopify or WooCommerce store analytics alongside ad spend, orders and fulfilment.
- Small manufacturers and job shops: job tracking, stage queues, material records.
- Field services: jobs, visits, calendars, forms from site.
- By function: order management, inventory management, invoicing, CRM, and ERP without an implementation project.

FAQ
What is the best ERP software for mid-size companies in India? The one that fixes collection, stock across locations, remote access and the CA hand-off without a year-long project.
