Messaging

Send email, SMS and WhatsApp messages through your own provider accounts, with templates, a delivery log and one opt-out list.

Messaging lets you send email, SMS and WhatsApp messages from AxisIQ through your own provider accounts. You bring the account, so your keys, your billing and your sending reputation stay yours. AxisIQ never sends on your behalf from its own account.

What you can do

Before you start

  • Who can use it: the Messaging app on the Roles page. Can view reads templates and the delivery log. Can send messages one customer at a time. Full control adds bulk sends, templates and provider accounts. See Permission levels by app.
  • In Messaging itself: connecting an account needs the connect permission, and testing, editing or disconnecting an account, managing templates and managing suppressions need the manage permission. Both are included in Full control.
  • With no Messaging access at all the app shows "No access to Messaging".
  • Messaging can be switched off in Settings → Apps. It must be on to use it. Unsubscribe links in emails already sent keep working even if you switch it off.
  • You need an account with at least one provider. Connect it first under Channels.

  • Activity — the delivery log, with Send a message.
  • Templates — reusable messages.
